nice idea ;] I think, it would be better to load image to other part of memory (for example at address 49152) and then use simple machine code (with ldir) to move it to videoram. Another improvement could be loader with no colour stripes in border. Everything what is needed is to copy ROM loader to RAM and change few instructions and then use machine code to load images using this custom loader.</description>

The software can even be run from within your web browser using Java Webstart (not an applet).
