It turns out I was wrong about the annual day of snow, as we had some proper snow today complete with snowballs and a snowman. Only the chickens failed to get into the spirit of things, refusing to come out of their house.
If the image looks odd, it’s a result of me inexpertly playing with multiple exposures to create an HDR image using qtpfsgui.

That’s a great image, the potential for this HDR stuff is limitless… I notice that your image has the same ‘problem’ that the one on my blog has, in that it has made white objects turn gray. Have you tried doing a levels adjustment after the HDR processing, just wondering what the image would look like if the brightest snow highlights were actually white?
